Another crockpot creation coming at you today! I’ve had this recipe in my reserves for far too long. I’m so excited to finally get it up on the blog! This slow cooker ranch chicken and greens recipe is a family favorite and on regular rotation at our house for weeknight meals!
Reason being, it is SO DANG EASY. Add to that it’s versatility, delicious flavor, toddler-friendliness, and abundance of leftovers… it check every box! Like most of my regular recipe’s, this creamy ranch chicken and greens is thrown together in the crockpot and ready with hours , but can sit for longer if need be making it the perfect busy weekday option!
Slow Cooker Meals For The Win
I’m always partial to crockpot meals because I can prep dinner when I have the time and energy. (Because that isn’t something that exists at dinnertime when you’re a mom of two under three). And so commence operation “turn every meal I love into a simple crockpot meal”! And add this knockout to the top of the list!
Just 4 Simple Ingredients
One other very attractive quality to this meal – it’s made with just 4 simple ingredients! I like to add a little cheese and serve it over rice, but the chicken and greens itself is a simple dump of 4 ingredients – zero prep – into the crockpot! Here are the ingredients:
Chicken breasts
Cream of mushroom
Frozen greens
Ranch seasoning packet
…And TADA! You have a delicious, versatile, “healthy-ish” meal the whole family will enjoy (even your picky 2 year old)!
Serving the Slow Cooker Ranch Chicken and Greens
As preciously mentioned, this creamy ranch chicken and greens recipe is super versatile! Here are a few of the ways I’ve served this meal to my family:
- Over quinoa or rice – no need for a side of veggies, we already got those covered!
- As a “ranch chicken power wrap” – throw some lettuce, cheese, and quinoa in there too!
- Over potatoes – mashed, baked, roasted, it’s all good and perfectly complimentary!
- Topped with cheese – my family’s personal favorite! We top with mixed cheese and serve it over rice for a hearty balanced meal!
- Alone with a side of rolls or ciabatta bread – think “broccoli cheddar soup” vibes!
And that’s just a few of the ways we’ve served this up in the past! I’m sure you could get creative with it and come up with more that suit your family’s preferences! That really is the beauty of this recipe!
Alright, I’ve kept you waiting long enough! Here is my Creamy Ranch Chicken and Greens recipe!
